Sorry for missing last week, not much had changed and I was hooked on playing Heroes of the Storm, so it is possible it might have slipped my mind. I’m back though!
Danmaku Unlimited 3
I love bullet hell shmups and Danmaku Unlimited has been on every single smartphone I’ve owned. I was super excited to get this for the switch and for a good reason! The game plays as beautiful as it always has, but the tight switch controllers and portability/TV factor have easily made it one of my favorite games to play at every time of the day! It kind of scares me to review this game because I want to say so many good things about it, but even then I feel like I would not be making it justice. Between the amazing gameplay, the art style, the price and even the fact that the game isn’t less than 300 MB, it has just become my #1 proudest switch purchase!
The Next Penelope: Race to Odysseus
I have a soft spot for top down racers in my heart. My childhood memories include me playing Super Off road with my brothers and Micro machines. What really got me from this game was the art style, seeing the splash art instantly reminded me of Saint Seiya and U.N. Squadron. Greek mythology is always good too, so this game was never a matter of “Should I buy”, it was actually “When should I buy?”. The game combines fast paced arcade racing with combat and power-ups giving you the choice of racing or wiping the enemies, much like F-Zero.
