So I can say that not much has changed since last week. I play Monster Hunter World a bit less, but every time I feel like playing for a little while I just end up playing a bunch, and I still love it! Haven’t gotten much progress on Bayonetta, but I have been steadily clearing chapters one by one before going to sleep. I did however play a new game I would like to talk about later.
Ace of Seafood
One of my guilty pleasure is playing Ace Combat games. I love aerial combat and the soundtrack is always super top notch, I consider Assault Horizon Legacy+ one of my favorite 3DS games by far. I was natural for me to be interested in this game after watching the trailer. What I saw was an ocean Ace Combat, with fishes being the aircraft and the music still being kickass. One of the things that stand out the most to be is that it feels a lot like a game from the Dreamcast era of sega, you know, that era where Sega had amazing arcade games that seamlessly transcended on the Dreamcast like Crazy Taxi. Everything about this game from the atmosphere, the sound effects and even the menus give me that “Sega Bass Fishing” feeling even though I didn’t actually played that game and this one is a shooter.
I am having a lot of fun trying to capture reefs and try out new fishes while upgrading mine. The game feels clunky at times and I don’t think I have fully grasped the fishing formation aspect of the game, but other than that it is a pretty enjoyable experience.
